Facebook to start showing ads to users

Facebook has made it officially known that they would begin to show advert on users screen.

Which means that even if you enable adblocker, adverts would still show.


But it would be based on your interest.


Facebook will display ads according to each person's preference and interest. Below is an excerpt from the statement.

"We've designed our ad formats, ad performance and controls to address the underlying reasons people have turned to ad blocking software. When we asked people about why they used ad blocking software, the primary reason we heard was to stop annoying, disruptive ads.
As we offer people more powerful controls, we'll also begin showing ads on Facebook desktop for people who currently use ad blocking software."

No word on when this will actually kickoff but it seems it's starting very soon.
